- The insane rise of Akash Deep- the man who came from mud, grief & hopelessness… to wear the India jersey.15th December 1996, a baby boy was born to a schoolteacher Ramji Singh and his wife in a small village near Sasaram, Bihar. They named him Akash. There was no cricket academy, no infrastructure,  just gully cricket with a tennis ball. Crow in a cage:  a Crow that was being housed in a cage in the Bannerghatta shelter, used to elicit a strong response from other Crows that would rummage the garden. The crows would pick up a food from the nearby dumps, or wherever they found them, and attempt to feed the crow in the cage. They were also very hostile towards any intruder who approached the cage! The Wagtail in its attempt to free form this enclosed space was uttering calls that was being “attended” to by a Bushchat from the nearby hedges.
