How Islamic economics can bridge the gap between rich and poor:

Snippets: - Most of us want a societal order where there isn’t a huge vacuum between the classes. - There is no denying that global inequality is at unsustainable levels, and that interest-based economies are no longer fit for purpose. - Islamic economics, with its 2.5% zakat wealth tax (and much lower taxes in other areas) might give us a clue on how to eliminate the worst social inequality. - These are universalist traditional Abrahamic ethics, and a common sense way for us all to enjoy a truly free market. - In many countries interest rates are too low to incentivise saving at all. - Through a combination of tax avoidance schemes, tax havens and even relatively innocent methods like transfer pricing, high net worth individuals and their corporations have very little (if any) tax to pay on their wealth. - You’re not allowed to criticise capitalism if you have benefited hugely from it. - First, to reform a failing capitalism, we need to fix two things: taxation and the interes

The world is taking turn, now young graduates opting agriculture and farming as their profession:

Can you imagine young graduates opting for agriculture as their entrepreneurial career. Yes this wave is in Italy, where not just 20 or 50 but thousands of young graduates opting to work on the field. One can understand how their education has impacted them to understand and value nature by immersing themselves. These young graduates are often from urban regions. In many countries people are underestimating the power of their farm lands and pulling themselves to urban clutters. Some of us consider agriculture, farming, plantation, dairy activities to be inferior professions. Working in giant organisations and AC MNCs do not make a person superior or respected. Inturn this is a kind of society we have created who respect us by our fame and wealth. Click to view 4 minutes Youtube video:

Democracy is hearing every voice. Make your voice heard!!

In a hostel canteen, they served upma for breakfast everyday. Most of the students got sick of that upma and raised the issue to the warden and asked to change the dish. However there were 20 out of 100 students who never ever tasted anything else than upma and they were scared of a change. Warden gave a list of dishes for breakfast and upma was one of the choices. And asked students to vote. Those 20 people religiously chose upma and didn't even bother to look other options. Now remaining 80 people didn't coordinate well, 18 people chose dosa, 16 people chose roti, 14 people chose idly, 12 people chose bread & butter, 10 people chose pongal and 10 people chose noodles. Guess what? upma is the breakfast now in the canteen again. Think!!! Act!!! and Vote!!! Voting and  democracy  is very  important  in a nation because it provides people an opportunity to voice their opinion and vote for what they believe in, it holds elected officials accountable for their behavior w

Do you know how safe our daily food is:

- The food is one of the basic needs of human beings- a healthy, safe, and nutritious food. - We all know how important a task like agriculture is, and the role of farmer is, which help us keep our bodies alive. But most of us feel that this is none of our business. - The current food which we are consuming is full of chemical usage during plantation. - You will be shocked to see how few handful companies are controlling the food we eat globally. - We are not slaves, but this kind of dominance is making us slaves, without we being aware.
