5 Humble lessons from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's life:

MUST READ Unbelievable & SHOCKING INFORMATION. DD Podhigai telecasted an interview with Mr P M Nair, (retired IAS officer, who was the Secretary to Dr. Abdul Kalam Sir when he was the President.) I summarise the points he spoke in a voice choked with emotion.  Mr Nair authored a book titled *"Kalam Effect"* 1. Dr Kalam used to receive costly gifts whenever he went abroad as it is customary for many nations to give gifts to the visiting Heads of State. Refusing the gift would become an insult to the nation and an embarrassment for India. So, he received them and on his return, Dr Kalam asked the gifts to be photographed and then catalogued and handed over to the archives. Afterwards, he never even looked at them. He did not take even a pencil from the gifts received when he left Rashtrapathi Bhavan. 2.  In 2002, the year Dr Kalam took over, the Ramadan month came in July-August. It was a regular practice for the President to host an iftar party. Dr Kal

What are we failing again and again to learn from floods:

“God gave us the gift of life; it is up to us to give ourselves the gift of living well.” – Voltaire 2001 Gujarat earthquake , also known as the Bhuj earthquake, occurred on 26 January, India's 52nd  Republic day. The news spread viral, even though there were no social media of today. Immediately many organizations and even schools got into relief efforts. I was in my primary schooling grades when I had participated in a Gujarat Earthquake relief item collection rally. It was a huge rally filled with the spirit of little ones. That rally had a lot of josh and hosh from fellow classmates as it was filled with a lot of empathy, care, and concern. Flood  is witnessed due to excessive rain which then results in the overflow of rivers, lakes, and dams, which adds to  cause  large am

The Movement when APJ Abdul Kalam said, "I am travelling in the capacity of a sweeper and no one can stop me from doing my job":

*Dr APJ Abdul Kalam* By Wg Cdr Nasir Hanfee (Rtd) 27 July was the death anniversary of Dr Abdul Kalam , one of the greatest scientists India was fortunate to have . I can't resist sharing another story. This was way back in 1998. Our PSLV missile programme was in full swing . The programme director was Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, who we did not recognise at that time . The cryogenic engines used were secretly shipped to Chennai port from where they were airlifted by our heavy lift helicopter.. If this helicopter was to fly straight from Chennai , it would have taken only 2 hours to reach the launchsite. But there were some changes due to our mission planning. A 2 hour flight due to this would take us 8 hrs of flying and 8 hours halt, but ensure no detection - a small price to pay. Due to heavy load , our passenger carrying capacity was significantly reduced . We were able to carry only 12 supporting staff from missile programme , including 2 sweepers to sweep and mop the cons
