iPhone story- How you can care for your environment and earth, taking a creative approach:

Imagine the school days when you had participated in planting ☘️ activity in your campus or neighbourhood. And your intention was to make the earth 🌍 greener and environment safer.

Some might use more of walking and cycling to make earth greener and safer. And few might use lesser plastic to protect the earth.

The idea💡 is discussed by Apple's Head of Hardware Engineering, John Ternus, as to how to protect the earth, as we know Apple being among leading electric devices manufacturer. This environment sustainability story is shared by Apple’s Head of Hardware Engineering, John Ternus himself. He provided insights into why iPhones are very much difficult to repair. For this we need to also understand Apple's approach to balancing durability and repairability in its smartphones.

Ternus explained that Apple's design philosophy aims to create products that rarely fail, which ultimately benefits both customers and the environment. He contrasted this with products that are easy to repair but less reliable. According to Ternus, a highly durable product is more advantageous for users and environmentally friendlier, as fewer repairs translate to less material usage and waste. And less waste means lesser burden on earth and the environment.

Ternus asserted that the reduction in failure rates has also positively impacted the environment. Fewer repairs mean less frequent use of new materials to replace damaged parts, aligning with Apple's environmental goals. He pointed out that if there is enhanced durability, it benefits customers and the planet.

Ternus recounted stories of customers retrieving their iPhones from water after weeks and finding them still functional, a testament to the robustness of Apple's design.

By focusing on creating durable products that require less frequent repairs, Apple aims to provide a better overall experience for its customers and contribute to environmental sustainability.
